Who Are We?
Growing up in the 80's and 90's, as a young husky, rough, and tumble, and sporty kid, Kelly (owner) was given the unfortunate nickname of "Pork Chop" by the kids of the neighborhood. Although hurtful at the time, "Pork Chop" now represents strength, resilience, and perseverance. Similarly as the word "Queer" was once used as a word for harm, a reframe is that it now represents our community, and its strength.
At Pork Chop's House of Reframe Barbershop and Salon our mission is to help breakdown shame around gender presentation, by creating a safe and comforting environment for folks to feel affirmed in their beard trim, hair cut/color, and style, and to leave feeling uplifted.
